After what seemed like an eternity, been really-relly tied up for the past couple of weeks, continuing my Otakon 2010 redux.
Believe it or not, this is my second anime convention so far. A bit more than a year ago, I dived into this anime fandom and since then I can’t surface. Everything, manga, anime, art, music, web resources and certainly conventions are so captivating and exiting to me.
So, here’s New York Anime Festival or NYAF for short. It had been held in Jacob Javits Center in New York City, same complex where annual New York Auto Show takes place. Complex itself is pretty huge, but as I’ve been previously warned by one of my friends NYAF occupies only one section of the whole center, and yes it is tiny.
First time being to an anime convention I went to Otacon in Baltimore, Maryland, and oh my goodness it was ginormous – 2 huge buildings topped off with thousands of people. I had a blast there. I’m not saying that NYAF isn’t worth visiting, it certainly is. It’s just a little less fun.
